UpViral enables you to ask and gather more information on the participant at the time of registering. This information is gathered from the opt-in page where you can have more fields than just the standard Name and Email field.

Here is a step by step process of doing it:

  1. To add more custom fields on the opt-in page, log in to your UpViral Dashboard and navigate to the Lead Page Editor.

  1. When inside, click on your existing lead form (if you don't have a lead form added yet, just Drag and Drop and lead form on your lead capture page template). At the right side of the page, under Property options scroll down to Input fields then click on +Add custom field.



How to add more (custom) fields to my opt-in page?

  1. To add a new field, click on the “ +Add Custom Field” button and UpViral will open up a “Custom input field” popup.


  1. On the menu describe the custom field you are creating. UpViral will ask you to specify:

  • Field Name - the name of the field/data you are getting
  • Field Type - select the field type or the type of data you are collecting from Text, Numbers, Email or Hidden, Multiple Choice (Dropdown)
  • Placeholder - the name/text you would like to be displayed on the field.
  • Show label - check the box if you would like to show the label on your lead form
  • Input field with Icon - select any icon from the huge UpViral icon library for it.
  • This field is required - if checked, this won't let your participant proceed if this field isn't filled out
  1. When done, save the field. You can add up to 10 fields perform/lead page. Note that you can also move fields up or down in the menu to select which will appear first on the form.

  1. Once you have added the custom fields, you will also need to specify these fields in the autoresponder settings. This will enable you to send in all the additional email fields correctly in your autoresponder list.

  1. To add custom fields in autoresponder, go to Email Autoresponder from your campaign. When inside, scroll down to the Advanced Email Integration Settings on the page and add all the custom fields you just created on the opt-in form on the Lead Page.

  2. Please make sure that the Field Name is exactly the same as you specified in the opt-in form.
